You Are My Sunshine

This little guy really does brighten even the most frustrating days. On friday my car started to do some funny things, and then the check engine light turned on... again. To put it mildly by the time I walked back from the mechanic's (sounds dramatic, but I can see it from my house), I was a wee bit ticked. Anyway, we went home, had some lunch, and then played a bit, and by the end of a great game of "stack the cups" I was less frustrated. So some context for these photos, I mean some context beyond that I was frustrated when I took them. Michael does this strange thing where he raises his head and squints his eyes, makes a funny face, and then makes a sound that can only be described as something a baby dragon would make (that's right, I saw Harry Potter). The first time he made this "cheese" face I thought it was so funny and I laughed... which he loved, now he makes it all the time in an effort to get us to laugh.

A profile view of the cheese face, I have no idea how he came up with this.
About to make the cheese face, his eyes are still open so it doesnt count. FYI this little guy is still toothless! Dont worry, I'm not complaining, I love this toothless smile!

To say that everything goes in the mouth would be a bit of an understatement, however, he has recently (well within the past few months) started touching things with his fingers before putting them in his mouth. He likes to tough things with his middle, ring, and pinkie fingers, this seems strange to me as I would have thought he would have used his pointer, but he is too busy trying to pinch things to use it for for feeling objects, oh yeah, did I mention, he pinches now... hard!

He isnt crawling yet, although today he was scooting his legs forward, my heart skipped a few beats when this happened, but dont let that fool you, he is an excellent roller.
Bri thinks that his favorite color is green, personally I think he has an affinity for red and orange, this is a first child thing isnt it... trying to figure out what his favorite color is before he is really conscious about colors, oh first time parents...
