Siblings...

You know those siblings that don't talk to each other for months at a time... I don't have that kind of sibilings. You know those siblings that are ultra involved in each others lives, have nicknames for each other, and communicate rather often (almost daily)... I have those and let me just say... it is awesome! If you had asked when I was a teenager if we would be close my answer would have been "No!". It wasnt that we werent close, it was just that when you are 17 you dont have a lot in common with your 15 and 13 year old brothers and 11 year old sister. Things change a bit when everyone grows up. It is funny sometimes to talk to my siblings and get the run down from them, the conversation usually starts like this "Hey, have you talked to Bardy/Muggle/Ermby today?, no? They told me xyz!" Maybe things would be different if we didnt live in the age of texting, cellphones, and email, but I like it. I like to talk to them, I like to know what they are up to, how classes are going, which roommates they are irritated with, if they have been out on any dates. Maybe things are better because we dont share a bathroom anymore...
