My Favorite Little Man

Michael is growing like a crazy weed. Every day he learns something new. His latest things are:

-rolling all the way over! sadly I have not seen it, I have only seen him end up on his tummy after I was sure I put him on his back (i did it a few times just to verify). He did this the first time today!

-mimicking- he loves to copy the sounds we make. Sadly, he was more interested in watching himself on the computer than making the sound for this video, but trust me he gets it and he is LOUD!

-making people laugh- when he finds something that makes us laugh he does it over and over.

-pulling hair and touching faces- he cannot get enough of this.

-eating cheerios- he can't quite get them in his own mouth but he is more than willing to accept them if you are willing to put them in his mouth. He shudders when he first tries them (every time) but he is starting to enjoy the Cheerios and getting great a chewing them!

Michael's favorite food hands down is pears, but last week he tried blueberries and oatmeal and they were pretty popular too.

He tried to help me feed him... and then he spit some of the blueberries at me. It wasnt very pretty but he had a great time, and who can resist this cute smile.

-Using a sippy cup- this isnt that new, but it is great. Since he was so resistant to use a bottle I thought a sippy cup would be an equally unpleasant experience. Not so! He figured it out right away. I got him a cup with handles so he could learn to do it himself... this is probably the only time he actually used the handles, usually he opens his mouth and leans forward while waiting for me to hold the cup.

-playing with trucks- someone gave use a bunch of little chunky trucks and he loves them. I think the trucks gave him the motivation to finally roll all the way over. He likes to grip them (because they are just big enough) and thinks it is so funny when the truck drives over him.

-hitting toys against the tabletop- this makes a lot of noise and he loves it!

Mikey is generally a busy and happy guy. He loves to play and bounce, basically doing anything that makes a lot of noise.

Mikey continues to drool like it is going out of style, dislike afternoon naps, having the fan off, and not have my full attention. He continues to love the song Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, baths, and pears.
