Yesterday was Michael's 9 month birthday, I cannot believe that this little guy is getting so old!
We had his 9 month check up today and here are the stats (ready?):
23lbs 7.5oz
30 1/4 inches tall
18 1/4 inch head circumference
He is still a chunk! 90th percentile for weight and 95th for height... I cant believe he started out so small and is now so big!
So what can we say about Mikey...
He is mobile now, not crawling yet (I am a little shocked about this actually), but rolling like crazy and now army crawling. He is one fast little dude, he doesnt stay in the same place for long anymore... even when he sleeps.
He still loves baths, now he loves bath toys, and splashing me, I think he is going to love the pool.
He loves grown up food, anything from our plates seems awesome, anything from his plate is tolerable, but not always preferable.
He loves books, he can usually tell which way is up... and according to the library that is something to work on with early literacy... yeah we are those kind of parents.
Michael loves to "talk", he now babbles like he is having a conversation with us and I think he is starting to understand some of the things that we say- he understands "all done", "ball", "Michael", "eat" and "no-no", I think. Maybe not, but I think he does understand those things.
He can sit up to play, although he cant sit up on his own... so close but not quite there yet. He has a little tool bench that he loves to play with while sitting up.
He recently started dropping objects in an effort to have me retrieve them for him, sadly it took a bit for me to catch on... yeah, anyway, we now have a three drop rule and the the object is "all done"... he isnt a fan of this, but he thinks dropping things is hilarious.
He had his first non family babysitter last weekend, cant believe we all lived through it.
He loves to make a crazy cheese face (see the photo left), for some reason he thinks this is hilarious (which it kinda is). He will do this often to get us to laugh.
He is getting 2 teeth! This is out of control (and kinda painful!). He is putting these little teeth to good use, he is rejecting baby food in favor of things that can be chewed.
His favorite foods include: kiwis, pears, mangos, cheese, yogurt, cinnamon graham crackers, and anything that we are eating. He continues to dislike bananas which seems strange to me (although I dont like them either).
He loves to go after CJ... poor CJ nothing is safe these days.
He thinks outside is great, but doesnt like it when it is too sunny.
What a cute guy we think he is great!
