So today is my 26th birthday, I know, I am getting up there. And I dont think I can let the day pass without at least saying something about it (afterall this blog is as close to a journal as I keep). So here goes, my 25th year was a big one. Bigger than 16, 18, and even 20 (yes the year I got married). 25 was the year I became a mom, and really I think that one thing has been the single most life changing experience I have had, so yeah 25 was a big year for me. 25 was was the year I learned to let (some) things go, the year I learned what it really meant to love someone unconditionally and put their needs above your own (okay that sounds awful but true). 25 was the year I changed direction from a career to a mother. 25 was the year I didnt sleep, stopped caring so much about how food tasted and just that it was there (no really, if you dont eat quick sometimes you dont get to eat). It was the year I learned patience, the importance of service, and that you truly can pray in any situation. 25 was the year that I spent a good deal of time feeling lost, overwhelmed, and out of my element. The year when I spent more time at home than ever before, and when I learned to be happy in the moment. So yeah 25 was a big year, but 26, well my hope is that 26 is a bit less humbling, and bit less overwhelming, and that I get just a bit more sleep, if not, well we'll hope that 27 brings that.
I do have to give Brian a shout out, as much as I hate that he forgets to put a trashbag in the trashcan after he takes out the trash, and as much as I nag him, he does an awesome job with birthdays. He brought home flowers last night which was so sweet, he indulged my love of cupcakes (even though I dont really like cake I just like that there are so many flavors), and he encouraged me to go get some new clothes- because "I hate all my clothes". Thanks Bri you are awesome!

I must say I can relate to all of the changes that you experienced in the last year.
I must say I can relate. I think that you have one of the most fulfilling jobs.
I must say that you have one of the most fulfilling jobs in the long run and you have shown a lot of patience in the last year.
I must say that you have the most fulfilling job. I have seen your patience level grow this year alone more than any other.
I like how you write! I am glad you were able to learn all those things! :)
