Quick Trip to Austin

This past weekend we went to Austin. This was the first time that I had ever been there (ironically Brian hadnt been there before that week either, but he spent the first part down there for work so technically he had some experience there). We went to Austin for the CPA swearing in ceremony. Turns out that Austin actually isnt too far from Dallas- we left after work on Friday and made it there in time for dinner.

Anyway so back to the trip.

On Saturday morning we went to the CPA swearing in ceremony. See Brian in the blue shirt listening to the speeches.
Brian taking the "oath of office". Way to become an official CPA.

Brian walking to get his certificate... fyi there were very few people cheering at this ceremony, it was so nice and peaceful, and went so much faster than Emily's hs graduation.

Brian and his snazzy official CPA certificate. Awesome!
Side note: Austin was 100+, and I am very pregnant, my ankles were swelling like crazy, thank goodness I didnt take a photo of the cankles.
Texas state capitol building- it was actually really pretty, we didnt get out to walk because of the whole very pregnant thing, but next time we will.
The highest point in Austin- it was actually a hill!
Standing at the highest point- yes we "hiked" up the stairs (there were a lot).
