I like to get good deals. Paying full price for something irritates me a little bit, granted for some things I am more than happy to pay full price, but for other things it just annoys me. Groceries are one of those things that just irritate me to pay full price for. I think the majority of this frustration comes from the fact that I know I can get good deals on groceries if I just look. I guess the problem is the “just look” part, I don’t want to look, I want someone to look for me. In utah this wasn’t a big deal, there are quite a few companies in Utah that specialize in finding the best possible price for groceries, unfortunately for me, that majority of these businesses are focused on the Wasatch font, the wide open Texas prairie is a foreign place to most of them (as it should be), and the deal watch just doesn’t extend out this far. So as a result I have taken it upon myself to find the good deals, and I am happy to report I have found a couple- chicken for 87 cents per pound (Di I hope this is a good price), cantaloupes for $1 (it isn’t summer I will take what I can get), and 1 pint containers of ice cream for $1. So far I think I am doing an okay job, but this is time consuming, and to be honest I really wish I could just pay for someone to do this for me, but until then I will keep searching, and keep filling my little deep freeze one week at a time.
