Farewell expensive wisdom teeth!

Tomorrow I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out. I know most people get their wisdom teeth taken out, and as far as “surgical” procedures go this is pretty low on the danger level, but I just don’t want to do it. I am not sure what it is about this week but I don’t really want to do anything, I don’t want to do my project and I don’t want to get my wisdom teeth out. Maybe it is just that both of those things sound painful and that one of them involves drilling, whatever the reason I am not enthusiastic.

When I was in high school one of my friends got his wisdom teeth taken out, well to be fair when I was in high school most of my friends got their wisdom teeth out, mine recently started coming in so yay for me I get to do it in the morning. Anyway back to this friend, for some reason his mom decided to have one side taken out at a time- I think she had it spaced about 2 weeks apart, he looked like a lopsided chipmunk for about a month of high school- I wonder if I will look like a chipmunk tomorrow night, if I had to guess I would say it is highly likely, although since I am getting all 4 out at once I don’t see any lopsided chipmunk faces happening. We went to the lovely surgeon performing the procedure yesterday to discuss what he was going to do and he said that the medication they would use would put me in a twilight sleep and that I would feel so relaxed, I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing at this, I am pretty uptight I think it might take a bit more than drugs to put you in a “twilight sleep” to get me to be relaxed.

Oh....have fun. Let's just say I will tell you my experiences when you are out of surgery. Let's just say my parents signed me up for a "test" with drugs and I was given the placibo pill. This is ON the TOP of my list of top 5 pains to ever experience...oh, but with you being given real meds you will do great! Oh, the cotton balls in the gums...it really is so swell. You will be surprised though how quickly your mouth heals. That I think is the ONLY bonus to this surgery. GOOD LUCK!!! Take a picture of your cheeks for us all to see :)
