Paint Anxiety
The other day I bought some paint for our house. I know many of you are asking yourselves, “why are you painting a brand new house”, well the answer is simple- because I can. While I do like the current wall color, I thought a little bit more color might be even more fun. So in an effort to spice up my life (yes I did just use that phrase) I purchased paint. I dragged Brian to several stores, talked to him about colors… for hours on end, changed my mind a million times, made him buy the paint 5 days before we signed the papers (we are waiting to do that right now), and change our washer/dryer delivery date, poor guy, it turns out I am determined to spice up his life too. So tonight (if I find the motivation, I may be basking in the wonder of home ownership, or wallowing in the misery of spending that much money in one day), or early tomorrow morning I am going to start painting. I have chosen blue pond for our bedroom (matches the bedding, yes it is going to look like a 16 year old room), and rosemary green for the living room (one wall), laundry room/pantry, and maybe the office, let’s hope I like the actual paint as much as I liked the color sample. I decided to shy away from red this time around, I have had some issues with that before- my poor mother had a hideous red stripe on her wall for… awhile. I also invested in a drop cloth, lots of painters tape and all the other junk you need, so yes it is going to turn out. All I can think as I plan out my painting schedule (yes obviously I have a schedule is “WHAT IF I HATE IT?” Oh well, and yes I will post pictures as I take them.

If it is "rosemary green" of course it will be beautiful :) Congrats on the new house. Yes, signing papers is a little unnerving. I've done it twice. Lots of good practice with penmanship!
My only advice is to paint a small section of the wall, let it dry, and see how you like it...
You'll for sure have to post pictures!
By the way, I think Brian earned many brownie points for spending hours talking about paint. Heaven knows my husband would have lasted 30 seconds, max.
