Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down

I just read somewhere that people think taking the birth control pill or using any form of contraception keeps you from God, what kind of crap is this? Yes I said crap, and really who am I to judge your relationship with God (no one and I am not doing it) but really what planet do you live on? Oh wait the one where you have more children than you can care for, the one where you dont have a tv so entertainment options are few and far between, and the one where money grows on trees and you dont take practical things into consideration (like how you are going to pay for 27 kids) before deciding to have kids. I think I am particularly passionate about this for a few reasons: 1 i dont have kids, we consulted the "eternal triangle" (to be discussed shortly) and when it is right we will have kids, 2 i think "family planning" is one of the great public health achievements of the 20th century, 3 i enjoy the freedom that "control" over my reproductive life gives me, that's not to say we wont ever have kids (consult me in a year) but I enjoy having the freedom to decide when we will do that, being a parent is a big deal, there needs to be a bit of planning involved on the part of both parents, both parents need to be somewhat ready (i dont think you can ever be ready)- the whatever attitude is a little bit ridiculous.
*the "eternal triangle" (hand motions included) is the idea that all marital decisions should be made between you, your spouse, and your Heavenly Father.
**if you decide to have 8,12, 1000 children that is great, your decision- think about it but still if that is your decision, good for you I will mail you a present.
