Tuesday Morning Rantings

I'm a slightly opinionated person, I know Jared is laughing out loud and saying really, you opinionated? but I thought I would jsut throw that out there. There are some topics that I am particularly passionated about, these include: vaccinations (I think it is about time to pull out my soapbox again), where people should give birth (not at home), why people should trust trained medical professionals instead of crazy quack doctors, why people should go to college, get a real degree, and a REALISTIC life plan, why massage therapy school, hair school, and online college (university of phoenix, stephens heinger, ITT Tech) are not "real" college, what is considered an "acceptable" life plan, why mayonnaise should NEVER be eaten, and variety of other topics that you are already quite familiar with my opinion on. I recently have had several conversations on a variety of these topics and have come to several conclusions, 1. the people that dont see the light (and by light I mean my opinion) are missing quite a few brain cells and may not be functioning members of society,
2. i need to stay away from these people because restraining myself from slapping them across the face makes my blood pressure spike
3. some people are just... uninformed? Maybe unrealistic is the word i am looking for, I think I need to mull that over a bit.
4. reality will be harsh for some of these individuals. For example, what happens when you are almost 30 and still not accepted to college and well... , what happens when your kid has serious complications because they got the measles (which FYI can be prevented), what happens if you give birth at home and hemorrhage? What happens if you have a serious medical condition and go to a fake dr. instead of an MD and you have to live with some debilitating illness. Granted these are on the extreme end of the spectrum, but seriously 1 in a 1000 chance it too big for me.
Thank you for participating in my touch of realism for today!

When I first met you, straight out of HS and for an LDS girl, pretty liberal, I never imagined I'd ever be saying this to you...but I AGREE WITH YOU. I agree with you more often than not these days. Funny how that happens :-)

This is from Jared. I am so happy to have another very opinionated person in the family. Suprisingly we even share a lot of opinions. They we always be welcome in my home, wether I agree or not. Keep it up!!!!!!!
