one of my favorite things ever...
Crazy feminists tick me off. You know the type of people I am referring to. The girls that refuse to shower, dress up, and constantly remind you that your attitude is the reason that almost 100 years after the passage of the 19th amendment women are still subordinate to men. These are the types of women that attempt to make you feel guilty because you cook, like small children, occasionally buy clothes that actually fit you, know what mascara is, and don’t burn your bra on a regular basis. In all reality I would like to consider myself a feminist, I believe in the power of women, equal pay for equal work, I am pretty sure that I can do most of the things that Brian can (not math, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my lack of a Y chromosome). I am not a “barefoot baby making machine”, nor do I know anyone like this, sure I have friends and family with small children (without this the population would die out and who would carry on the crazy feminist tradition?) but I don’t think any of them view themselves as subordinate, I am pretty sure that despite their decision (which was a good one) to be a mother they are still smart competent women, and even more than that I am sure that they are contributing members of society, really I would say that it this decision has taught them more than reading crazy pamphlets or sitting through lectures that explain why women have become the lesser sex ever would. . I would like to think that a majority of the women that I associate with on a normal basis believe many of the same things I do, yet despite our positive attitudes, knowledge and efforts, we are labeled as a “disgrace to our gender” by the “crazy feminists”. Someday when I rule the world (isn’t that scary thought), we are going to have a little chat about this. So seriously crazy feminists, go eat some granola, buy a bra, and shh… you are taking away our credibility with your militant attitude, we can do more if we politely approach the subject, and recognize the strides that have been made over the last 100 years.

Great post and I agree with you whole heartedly. The crazy feminists can protest all they want, but I still feel many of us are doing our part as a strong woman contributing to society and continuing to pave the way for future women. Whether it be through my job, building relationships and trust with promanant businessmen, negociating a pay structure equal to the men in my field and working in the community to better things for other women. I say way to go to any woman who makes an effort to better the lives of those around them. That includes you Ashley!!
Also, I would like my breasts to be above my belly button for years to come, so I'll stick with my bra!
