Happy New Year! Doesn't this hotel look awesome, it is on my list of places to stay, the Plaza, the Grand America (SLC), and now the Hotel Del. I am sure the list will get longer, and yeah I dont really have a reason to choose these particular hotels except... yeah no reason, trying to think of one but can't.
The Hotel Del, it seems pretty fancy, I think we should stay there sometime... in a very long time from now but still it seems pretty fun to go there!
Happy New Year! We wish you all were here with us, but since you can't be, we thought some pictures might help you thaw out and help you remember that there is life outside of the frozen tundra!
Today we headed off to San Diego. We had big plans for going to visit the USS Midway but decided against that, instead we headed off to Coronado Island and the Hotel Del. I have only been to Coronado a few times, we took the ferry and had lunch about a decade ago, walked along the beach a few times, and I went to girls camp there twice. I know what you're thinking, "girls camp at the beach that sounds awesome!", well you would be wrong about that. There is nothing fun about going to the bathroom in a portapotty, no showers, having your tent swept away, and spending the week is your cold soggy clothes, if you weren't aware, the beach isnt my thing and well let's face it, girls camp wasnt my thing either. This was a big step of us, Brian and I have never been to the beach in all the times we have gone home to California. I am not a fan of the beach, you know all the bacteria, dirt, and people peeing in the water, but this time i managed to brave the public health concerns and have a good time (granted we only stayed for a little bit).
We have some very exciting videos to be posted at a later date... when blogger lets me.
