Crafternoon #2: Birthday Decor

As mentioned previously we had quite a few lovely crafternoons while emily was in town. These decorations were featured in the Mikey birthday post but just in case you missed it, let me just show it off. 

We decided that Michael needed some reuseable birthday decorations, you know cause we want to save the environment, well not really. 

How did we make this lovely banner. 

First we cut our felt triangles in the best colors we could find. Then we cut out letters and stuck them (using heatbond, clearly one of the best products out there) to the felt. Then we strung them along a piece of yarn (I know super complicated), and then the most important step- we stepped back and admired how great we are... that's right we had a "dad moment". 

 Lovin' it, so cute.

 We needed something to go with our lovely banner and saw this  and knew that it was a must (clearly we had some time on our hands). My lovely sister sat for quite a bit and made this, it is even more darling in person.

 So let's just say that our house is darling and festive, now all we need is another birthday, until next year!
