Farewell Christmas!

We put up all the Christmas decorations today. I love and hate putting stuff up. I hate that christmas is over, that the holiday season wont come around for another year, and that the beautiful twinkling lights are gone. I hate that putting up the tree marks the end of the holiday season and the time when all our family is going to head back to their homes. There is something about a christmas tree that reminds me of family traditions, hot chocolate, and long evenings spent enjoying the company of family. But I love putting the stuff away because suddenly the house seems to be more open and it marks the beginning of something new- a new year with new goals, new beginnings, and new challenges.
