We had a wonderful Thanksgiving today. Because we decided to stay home and have Thanksgiving with just the three of us the day was a bit more relaxing than the usual Thanksgiving. At one point, while the turkey was cooking, we all took a 20 minute nap- can you believe it!? We had enough food for... well more than 2, when we were done it didnt even look like the food had been touched. All in all I think the dinner was delicious!
We had Thanksgiving dinner with all the "fixins"
Mashed sweet potatoes
Michael enjoyed video chatting with his grandparents while we ate dinner. I am not sure that he knows they are talking to him, but he really likes to look at the tiny picture of himself as they chat.
Such a funny cute guy!
While Brian and I were cleaning up, Michael decided the tablecloth was a delicious after dinner snack... not sure I agree, but it sure was funny!
We put the Christmas tree up this morning, no sense in having the Thanksgiving decorations hanging around when the Christmas season has officially started!Bri introduced Mikey to the tree, he seemed a little bit apprehensive at first.
Brian helped Mikey get over his fear of the tree, I'm sure by next year he will be ripping the stuff off just like the cat.
With Thanksgiving coming to a rapid close, I think it is time to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for this year.

With Thanksgiving coming to a rapid close, I think it is time to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for this year. The "thing" that tops the list is of course Michael. This little guy brings so much joy to our lives every day. We can't imagine life without him and are so excited to see what the next 18+ years bring.
We are so grateful for our families. Even though we now live far from our families, we are blessed to keep in close contact with them (some more than they would like), in the days of modern technology we get to see and talk to them almost daily.
Brian's job, while this may cause him stress at times, we are thrilled that he has such a stable job in a field that he is so capable. Thank you Bri for majoring in something "useful" and using your skills to support our family!
Our home- most mornings I wake up so excited that we live in our house, granted some days I dont want to clean it, and others I wish there were some things different, but all in all I wouldnt trade this cozy little home.
CJ... it's okay to laugh, maybe we are turning into crazy cat people, but CJ brings humor to many of life's stressful moments, and for that I am grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
