A Haircut and a Fun New Toy

I recently noticed that Michael's hair was getting a bit... long. In reality it probably wasnt actually getting that long, but it was making me antsy so we had to do something about it. I thought about driving out for my aunt to cut it again and even considered taking him and paying for someone to cut his hair, but then I decided to suck it up and learn to cut it. I bought the hair clippers, some scissors, and the ear trimmer and watched a few how to videos and got started. Because Michael's hair grows like his cousin Jake's hair, a mohawk (faux hawk) is the only way it goes...

Here is the crazy hair before.

The bath after the haircut- he was confused why the bath was at 5pm instead of 7pm... let's just say it made the rest of the night... interesting.
After the haircut, okay he wasnt as happy after- he has the same haircut, but his little mohawk is shorter (so are the sides).

My sister-in-law recommended (and purchased) this awesome toy for Michael. He has just recently (within the last few days) started to use it. He doesnt quite understand the bouncing part yet, but he loves to stand and look around. This has made life quite a bit easier the past few days... now if only there was something that made tummy time less of a traumatic event for the poor guy.
Yes that is drool on his face... let's just say that the little tray on this is more like a drool catcher... poor guy!
The other night (the first night of the Johnny Jump Up), Brian took Michael in the other room while I cleaned up from dinner. They were in there maybe 5 minutes when this happened... the poor guy was so exhausted from his day (of not napping) that he just couldnt take it any more!
