Thanks

This post is for the members of MPH Cohort 7

Dear Cohort,
I could thank you guys in person, or I could do it on this blog- this blog involves less real life emotions than talking to you in person, and I can see the next few days being filled with enough emotions that posting it online is the best thing for my sanity and tear ducts.

Okay back to the point of this post. Dear Cohort, I am writing this post to say thank you. Thank you for all the fun these last 18 (is it 18) months. Thank you for putting up with what can only be described as "dramatic outbursts",  for helping me through biostats (because seriously without you guys I would be taking it again next semester), and listening to my quest to find a fieldwork fiasco. Thank you for taking women's health so I wouldnt be alone on Thursday nights (yes thank you MaryAnne for last semester), for commenting on the nights I taught, and for bringing women's health to the forefront of many conversations (notice I didnt say all conversations Pete). Thank you for taste testing some interesting desserts, putting up with my constant references to america's test kitchen, and my bad moods when I forgot to eat breakfast. Thank you for g chatting the summer away with me, without that the sweltering summer in New York would not have been bearable. Thanks for putting up with me while Brian has been in Texas, thanks for reminding me that this isnt the worst thing ever, and that in the end finishing school is worth the 4 months.

Thank you for your friendship. I thought I would like graduate school- what isnt to like, more school, putting life on hold, avoiding the real world, but I was nervous about the people I would meet while I was there. You guys have been fantastic. I didnt think that we would end up as close as we did, but now I think the experience was worth the late nights, the frustration over the SAS semicolons (which yes I am still frustrated about), and Josh's quizzes.  I agree with Pete (yes this is some real cheese), "I have made some great (hopefully lifelong) friends...I just want to say thank you to all of you. Each one of you has contributed greatly to me making it this far and actually enjoying it. I hope I can return that favor to all of you in my own little way at some point along the way as well."

Thanks so much guys. I will miss you all while I am in Texas!
A

Brad read me this post last night while I was working on my lesson plan.

I feel so sad and I don't feel like I know how to deal with it. Any ideas?

Thank you Ashley! I am going to miss our cohort as well. It makes me so sad that we won't be suffering through more school together. Thanks for tips in women's health, that class was so much fun. Please stay in touch while in Texas. I promise to be better at blogging.
