Merry Christmas, love the Sukers

Dear Friends and Family,
Every year people all across America send out christmas cards updating friends and family on the latest happenings in their lives, I am cheap, so I will just post ours online. Yes, I know that the people that will read this post have been reading the whole year so a recap is ridiculous, its okay to skip. So in true cheesy christmas card fashion here goes...

Dear Friends and Family,
2009 has been a busy year for our family, we moved 4 times, lived in 3 states, graduated twice, bought a house, and started 1 career.

Just a quick recap of our year.

This year started in Provo, Brian finished up school at BYU, and graduated with both his Masters and Bachelors degrees in accounting. We moved to New York just a few weeks after he graduated so that I could complete an internship with the Children's Defense Fund New York. We left New York for a weekend in July to buy a house in Dallas, finished out the summer in mosquito infested New York, and came back to utah at the end of August. We stayed in Utah for a few weeks before treking in our uhaul to Dallas. We waited impatiently for a few months for our house to be done (while living in seperate states) and finally moved in right before thanksgiving.

Besides all the great fun moving, we have learned 10 important things this year
1. we hate moving
2. we have too much stuff to move (and no none of it is good stuff)
3. it is important to have a home, or at least a home base
4. we can survive big cities with very little money
5. we are grown ups after all
6. hard work and dedication pays off in the end
7. life after college isnt quite as peachy as everyone thinks
8. good friends and family make all the difference
9. we can handle some of the curveballs life throws us
10. patience is a virtue

We hope that your year was blissfully uneventful, involved less moving than ours did, and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
Brian and Ashley
