I have a problem, well really more of a puzzler, here’s the problem. It is currently 85+ degrees at 9:07pm, we don’t have AC and it is a little bit stifling without opening the doors in our apartment (we don’t have windows, and yes it is still insanely hot with the doors open). Being 85 degrees I am not wearing jeans, socks and a sweatshirt- I’m sure you’re thinking… well duh, but here’s the problem, there are massive amounts of mosquitos here. I get between 7 and 15 bites a night, sure covering every inch of skin would be great but I think I might suffocate- so what do I do? Last night we watched an episode of Rx for Survival (highly recommended) and it talked about west nile virus in flushing, queens… hm… that is like 5 miles from here. So now I am pretty sure I am going to get west nile virus from all these mosquito bites. I also saw quite a few dead birds on my way to the train this morning… so I am even more paranoid about that- those are the first signs of an outbreak- I think it is time to leave New York, or at least time to buy a sentinel chicken, where is the DDT when you need it?

Sentinel chickens and a puzzler

Where's your bug repellent? Sounds miserable...you should move :-)
There isn't any standing water in your apartment is there?
I'm so sorry :( I am the person who always gets TONS of bug bites. I think it has something to do with a lack of Vitamin B....
I hate mosquitoes so I really feel for you. Good thing you are moving soon!!
