Do you ever find yourself in a situation with someone where you know you are supposed to know the person, but you just... don't. They know you, they remember you, and they even seem to have some shared experience with you, but you can't place them, no it's beyond that, not only can't you place them, but you can't even remember who they are, and for the life of you cannot understand why they know you and how you have developed amnesia and blocked them out of your life. In these situations is it more polite to stop them and ask who they are, or just play along and keep praying that something is going to click. To me this is like when you forget someone's name and the moment has passed when it would be polite to ask, you just have to keep hoping that it is going to come up naturally (and it never does because stuff doesnt work that way).
Anyway, today we got a wedding announcement from someone I didnt know. I thought Brian must know them, I asked him about it and it turned out that he thought I knew them. We went to their website, looked at photos, and could not place them. Finally, we went to facebook and figured out who they were because we had some mutual friends... still dont know them, but kinda know who they are... kinda. This was like that moment when you cant place a person, except of course thanks to the wonders of the internet we did eventually place them, and because it was a piece of mail, we missed that awkward in person encounter when you are treading water and hoping for an epiphany. Anyway congrats to the happy couple... I still dont really know who you are, but from your photos it looks like you will be happy together.
