Three people in particular have been lifesavers- my mom, auntie em, and my wonderful sister in law. These three have listened to so much complaining, taken the little guy when I didnt know what to do with him, cooked for us, and reassured me that someday I will be the experienced mom ready to offer advice to another poor soul. Seriously what would Mikey do without these great women? While I am thanking people (you know "publicly") I think it is worth mentioning my sister in law's awesome family that watched her kids so she could come out for a few days- thank you guys so much for watching them! Oh and my dad- this kid loves his "poppy", trust me this little guy loves him, I think because "Poppy" talks to him the whole time. Thank you!

Thank you!
These past 5 weeks have been a little bit challenging for me. Don't get me wrong, they have been so rewarding, but each day has brought something new and different, and settling in to my new role has been an adjustment. So many people have helped us during this transition. The sisters in my ward have brought dinner (thanks so much), friends have called with words of encouragement, and then there has been the family members that have offered not only words of support, but that have done everything from laundry to gushing over the cute guy (both here and from a distance). To all those people that have helped us, braved the texas heat to visit, listened to my sleep deprived rantings, and put their lives on hold (some for weeks) we cannot thank you enough. Thank you for your love and support as we adjust to life as Mikey's parents, you have made this so much easier!

Oh, it is all my pleasure! I really adore this little guy and I am so glad I was able to come, alone, with out my kids to really bond with him. It was the best time to spend it with you and your darling family in your home in Texas. I will cherish this little get-a-way, forever! Thanks for enduring ALL of my pushy support and advice! You are right, soon...really soon, you will be giving me the pep talks of how to get through this newborn phase! You are a darling mother, and I loved watching you just adore him! You deserve it. Love you guys!
