"Tried to find me an executive position, but no matter how smooth I talk, They wouldn't listen to the fact that I was a genius..."

I had a blanket as a kid (well duh my parent's didnt just let me freeze) but you know what I mean, a "blanket", one that was just mine, one that I took more places than it need
ed to go. Yesterday as I was packing I found it, I thought it was still at my parent's house b
ut I must have kidnapped it, anyway because I had a blanket as a child I think all kids need one blanket that is just theirs. As a result I have made my niece and nephew ea
ch their own personalized blanket- I dont actually care if they like it or not (I mean I hope they do like it) but the point is that they have one just in case. Today (well really 30 minutes ago) I fi
nished the blanket for baby #3. I have to admit there are quite a few flaws in the blanket but as I thought about it I realized this is a quilt for a kid, I hope they use it to make forts, use it as a cape, as cinderella dress, doll blanket, and flying carpet- kids wont notice the flaws, or really the ducks for that matter, so the important thing was that I finished. I hope the blanket is "gender neutral" enough, I didnt know if it was for a boy or a girl so I thought green or yellow would be okay.

*can you name the song the title came from? Hint it is not country.

I LOVE IT! Nice work once again. Yes, my kids do love your blankets. I must say, that Jake is more partial to his "ball" blanket than Alayna is. But that seems to fit her personality. And, yes Alayna does use her for more "creative" play than, snuggling like Jake. Either way as a mom, I love having lots of blankets around! SO THANK YOU!!! Baby #3 will LOVE the gender neutral colors...and the ducks! :)

You're so right! Every kid should have a blanket to carry around with them to do all the things that you described.

I know that it should be obvious, but I can't quite see--do you piece your blankets together like a quilt and then do diagonal sewing across the squares to finish it?
