Greetings from the Ocean State!

Downtown Providence
This is canopy created by the "european beech trees", brian thought this was amazing- i am told this would be great for kids, and a great place to propose to if you are looking into either of those things the Elms might be the place for you.
The Elms
The Elms- not at all like the Elms in provo- by the way they were getting ready for a wedding reception here tonight- it turns out you have can receptions, business lunches, and balls at the mansions, I wonder how much that costs
Brian couldnt get over this car- if you have met him (or Kurtis, by the way this is a picture for Kurtis you would know why)
This came highly recommended by my dad- not the same as the creamery on 9th but still pretty good. We were told to get an Awful Awful, and I agree with the message on the cup- it was "awful big" "awful good"
Chateau-sur-Mer- Castle by the Sea
Dad this picture is for you- this was at the Chateau- when I saw it I thought you would have taken a picture and talked about how beautiful the flowers were- so here you go.
Chateau-sur-Mer or Castle by the Sea- this was the smallest mansion we saw- I really liked this one, plus our guide- a cute old man was so funny- and he knew it. If you go to Newport you can't miss this one

Marble House Tea House
The Tea House at the Marble House- it used to have a river to separate eastern and western traditions- yes we all need one of these- by the way this place is bigger than any of the homes we found in Dallas- yeah...
Marble House- built as a 39th birthday present- home of the women's suffrage movement (they even have special china here supporting women's rights to vote)
Marble House- this house was built for the wife of one of the Vanderbilts
I would like to live in this tiny cottage by the sea for 6 weeks each summer- year tiny cottage- this is bigger than most buildings on campus
Rosecliff's driveway- yeah these homes is the only place I have ever seen that could give BYU (grounds) a run for their money
Rosecliff- this was a "summer cottage" by the way Jared and Di your huge new house would fit in the kitchen of this house- okay maybe more but it is huge!
Rosecliff- the first mansion we visited
My first time at Dunkin Donuts, my doughnut wasnt as good as I hoped
The real reason I cam to Rhode Island- there are no Walmarts in NYC- what is wrong with those people- good thing I am moving to Texas, the Land of Walmarts
Our lovely hotel room (there was a couch and stuff too but it is behind me- by the way this is bigger than where we are living for the rest of the summer...)
Crossing the Connecticut/ Rhode Island line

Yale University Library- personally I would take the HBLL any day- people here wear popped collars and speak with well stupid accents, how do these kids take themselves seriously (granted if someone let me go there for free I would have done it)

Leaving Grand Central Station (yes I know the pictures are in opposite order)

We decided to head off this weekend on a fun little adventure, we took the train from Grand Central to New Haven, Connecticut where we rented a car and drove to Coventry, Rhode Island. I am sure you are asking yourself, what is there to see in Coventry? Well to be honest, nothing, but it is locate close to Newport and hotels were $50+ cheaper here per night so we are staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites (by far the nicest place we have slept in weeks). I have lots to say about our trip but for the purposes of saving time I will just give you the pictures for now- dont worry the narrative will be coming on monday. On a slightly (or really) unhappy note we will no longer have internet access at home when we get back to NYC- what does this mean for you the readers of this fantastic blog? Well it means updates will be coming more slowly- the NYC public library closes at 6pm most nights so I will be posted Monday, Tuesday, or Saturday- multiple posts but still it might take me a few days- dont panic we are still alive.

P.S Rhode Islanders are significantly nicer than New Yorkers! I am going to miss the Ocean State!

Thanks for that note of loyalty for the HBLL. Beautiful buildings aren't everything.
