my dilemma

So as you all know we are moving to New York in a few weeks. We have lots of dilemmas with that, like where do we live etc. but besides that I had another problem. The place where I will be working is located in the financial district in Manhattan, the place I am working for is... let's go with well known, and as a result of all those things plus more factors I am not going into right now I need some... let's go with a whole new wardrobe. As most of you know fashion isnt really my thing, I am more of a jeans and t shirt sort of person, this unfortunately is not appropriate when interning with this particular organization (I hear it is appropriate at the WHO so I am a little jealous). Do any of you have ideas of where I can buy  relatively inexpensive professional attire (remember i am going to be paying over $1000 a month for a little tiny apartment and the internship is unpaid). All suggestions are appreciated and welcomed at this point, since as evidenced by everything I currently own, I dont know how to do this.

I always shop at Kohls for business clothes. You can find really nice and cute business pants, jackets, and shirts!

you could try ross, Marshalls and places like those. They have cute fashionable, professional attire and it is relatively inexpensive. Also, you could try clothing stores in the mall, they always have cute fashionable, professional clothes, and sometimes they are on sale too.

Ashley, when I had to dress the part, I'd shop at Banana Republic outlet store in Park City. It honestly was great clothes and not too spendy! So are BOTH of you going? or just you?

Target has decent professional clothes, depending on the season. I also agree with Di. I used to buy stuff at Banana Republic and Ann Taylor outlets, also Nordstrom Rack.
