Raspberry Jello, Spanish Olives, Mangos, and Key Lime Yogurt

I recently became convinced that pregnant women should not be allowed to grocery shop alone. I understand that that sounds harsh, and I am sure there are a few pregnant women out there stomping their feet in indignation, but before the yelling starts let me offer a brief explanation. Pregnant women are not rational (also a harsh statement), but as a pregnant woman I can tell you this is true, anytime an innocent comment, a tv commercial, or not having the food you are craving can send you into a spiral of tears, yelling, or incoherent rambling rationality has gone out the window. Back to the point. pregnant women and grocery shopping alone are not a good combination. Let me offer you a brief example. On Friday afternoon I went to the grocery store by myself. Since I was planning on cooking this weekend I needed to pick a few things. I planned my meals and made my list before leaving the house. I wrote the list on a post it note, and carried the note and a pen to check off the items into the store (my memory is failing, but that is another post). I walked into the store with a plan, hit the produce section and the plan was out the window. I should tell you that 23 weeks ago I was known to buy a few things not included on the list- a pack of gum, interesting fruit etc, so slight deviations from the list are expected. Anyway I was in the produce section and things just fell apart- I saw some mangos and NEEDED them, I didnt think that they sounded good, I depserately needed them. This continued throughout the store, but since my memory is not so great at the moment (this is going to get better right?) I didnt think much of it... until I got to the check out counter. As I was unloading my basket I kept thinking "who put this stuff in my basket?" "what do these items have to do with the meals we are making?", and "who thought that was delicious?". By the time I had gotten over the shock the cashier was letting me know my total (which caused another shock), and I walked to my car asking, "when did i become a crazy shopper?"

These are just some of the random items I ended up with:
2 mangos
1 pack key lime yogurt
raspberry jello
frozen raspberries
spanish olives (not the little jar)
laughing cow cheese
tiny toast

In fairness it could have been worse, there were no chips (actually there were cheetohs purchased for a specific event), no soda, and no ice cream. None of these items is going to hurt me, but still... jello?
