There's got to be something more, something more than this...

Do you ever hate every article of clothing you own, except that pair of flannel jammies, and one of those free t shirts you got at some event, you know the items you cant actually wear in public. Maybe you dont have those days, maybe you are much better at keeping things in perspective than I am. Have you ever experienced those days  where you stand in front of your closet and think if I have to wear anything in there I am going to throw up. I know this isnt a serious problem, there are children starving in Africa (and in the US if we are being realistic), some people live in war torn countries, and any number of other horrible things are happening to people around me every day, but still I hate my clothes. Granted today is not one of those days, I like the skirt I wore to church ($10 can you believe it!) and the boots are way more stylish than anything else I own (thanks Dad, and thanks em for picking them out), so all in all in am pretty satisfied, but some days, ugh... things are just not attractive. I was talking to a friend (actually several friends, I think I had the same conversation 3 times last week) about this phenomenon. What is it? Why some days are those jeans cute, and that shirt seems to fit just right and then the next day the same outfit looks awful beyond belief, you know like if you walked down the street wearing that outfit people would laugh out loud, point, and in general let you know how ridiculous you look? Hm... one of life's mysteries. On an interesting and somewhat related note when we went to do our laundry yesterday we saw that one of the dryers had caught on fire, no matter how much I hate my ratty clothes I dont think I would want them to meet that fiery fate (plus I dont really have money to replace everything at the present moment).
* can you name that song (title)? no? tragic
