Mumps party...
I read about people having a mumps party today... obviously they dont read my blog or they would know this is a bad choice... but really a mumps party? What makes this seem like a good idea to you? Just an FYI, breastmilk does provide children with immunity... but by 6 months that is really starting to wane (like it isnt there). Please vaccinate your children, dont send them to these wacked out parties... have a normal party with cake, ice cream and NO vaccine preventable illnesses. I know all of you readers vaccinate your children, or plan to when you have children (if you dont please dont tell me) so I am preaching to the choir here, but really this mumps party sounds ridiculous and dangerous.

How weird.. I don't understand why we're going backwards instead of forwards in this country.
You know, I thought of another point that relates to the MMR vaccine and vaguely reminds me of the arguments for the HPV vaccine. It's this: if women aren't immunized against rubella and they get pregnant and are then exposed to rubella, that poses serious risks to their baby.
