I love busy season... not so much

Those of you not married to Big 4 auditors, or who arent Big 4 auditors yourselves might not be familiar with the best time of the year otherwise known as "busy season". This is a whinyish is post, dont read it if that bothers you. I am being totally sarcastic about it being the best time of the year just in case there was any confusion. Let me give you a little idea what busy season is, it is the time of year when auditors work... a lot. There are long hours during the week, work either in the office or at home on the weekends and it lasts for... well a season. This is our 4th busy season if you count Brian's internship. The other 3 werent so bad, I spent one as an intern myself, another trying to finish my graduate project while interning, and last busy season flying back and forth to Pittsburgh in the midst of my own crazy work schedule, but this busy season I am home. I am done with busy season, I am sure that Brian is feeling the same way, but he wont be posting because a. he never posts (except about double taxation), and b. he is working too much to take the time to do it. Let me repeat, I am done. I am done with the late nights, done with the weekends spent catching up on sleep and working, done. Thankfully busy season is a once a year sort of thing, unfortunately that time of year is sticking around for a few more months. In the meantime we will survive and I am sure by next busy season we wont remember how unpleasant it was.
